2008 schedule: Sept. 14, bass and crappie tournament. Sept. 27, National Hunting & Fishing Day, Kids' Fishing Derby, 8 to 11 a.m., Claypit lakes. Oct. 5, bass tournament. Nov. 9, bass tournament. Note: Any Fort Gordon lake is open for fishing.

Tournaments will be limited to the first 20 boats and are open to all ID cardholders and the public with a Fort Gordon fishing license guest permit. Entry fee is $10 per Fort Gordon Sportsman Club member, $20 per non-member, with an optional $5 big fish pot, with a guaranteed $100 for first place and $50 for second place. Registration is with the club prior to the tournament or 30 minutes before the event's start. State licenses and Fort Gordon fishing permits required.
