A 15-year-old Augusta teen accused of taking part in a burglary that turned into a shootout was acquitted of all charges except burglary Wednesday.

A Richmond County Superior Court jury returned the split verdict for Derrell L. McNair. The jury found him not guilty of armed robbery, aggravated assault and a weapon charge.

Derrell was accused of joining Clarence A. Tanksley, 47, and his son, Jordash A. Tanksley, 24, in the July 30, 2007, burglary and robbery of the F.A.M.E. clothing store on Wrightsboro Road. The Tanksleys will be tried separately.

Judge Duncan D. Wheale said he will sentence Derrell after receiving a presentencing report. Burglary is punishable by one to 20 years.
