WHAT: This blend of Malvasia and Trebbiano has been around for 2,000 years, and one taste will tell you why it has remained popular. The beautiful light straw color leads to a light fragrance of flowers and apples. The dry, clean taste doesn't overpower you, but offers a hint of citrus. Though it is a still wine, this Italian bargain gives a slight spritz feel in the mouth.
GOES WITH: Pasta, mild cheeses, salads, chicken, veal, vegetable soups and mild seafood. We even enjoyed it with sloppy Joe sandwiches. The crisp, clean taste makes it ideal for sipping by itself.
