LAST YEAR: Jonathan Byrd won his third PGA Tour title, birdieing three of the final five holes for a one-stroke victory over Tim Clark.

LAST WEEK: Anthony Kim won the AT&T National for his second victory of the year, closing with 5-under 65 at Congressional for a two-shot victory over Fredrik Jacobson. Kim, also the Wachovia Championship winner, became the first American under 25 since Tiger Woods to win at least twice in a season on the PGA Tour.

NOTABLE: The British Open is next week at Royal Birkdale. The U.S. Bank Championship also is next week in Milwaukee.

LPGA TOUR

JAMIE FARR OWENS CORNING CLASSIC

LAST YEAR: Se Ri Pak won the event for the fifth time to tie the LPGA Tour record for victories in an event set by Mickey Wright and matched twice by Annika Sorenstam. Pak, also the Farr winner in 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2003, shot 63-68-69-67 for a three-stroke victory over Morgan Pressel.

LAST WEEK: South Korea's Seon Hwa Lee birdied the final hole for a one-stroke victory over Jane Park and Meena Lee in the NW Arkansas Championship.

NEXT EVENT: 3M Championship, July 18-20, TPC Twin Cities, Blaine, Minn.

LAST WEEK: Argentina's Eduardo Romero won the Dick's Sporting Goods Open for his second Champions Tour title, beating Fulton Allem and Gary Koch by a stroke.

LAST YEAR: France's Gregory Havret beat Phil Mickelson with a par on the first playoff hole. Mickelson bogeyed three of his last five holes, dropping strokes on No. 18 in regulation and the playoff.

LAST WEEK: England's Ross Fisher won the European Open, closing with 4-under 68 in windy and rainy conditions for a seven-stroke victory over Sergio Garcia.

NATIONWIDE TOUR

LAST YEAR: Jimmy Walker overcame a seven-stroke deficit in the final round, shooting 67 to beat Justin Hicks and Matthew Jones by a stroke. Third-round leader Parker McLachlin shot 77 to tie for fourth.

LAST EVENT: Hicks, the co-leader after the first round of the U.S. Open, won the Wayne Gretzky Classic on June 29 for his first Nationwide Tour title, beating Casey Wittenberg with a par on the first hole of a playoff in Clarksburg, Ontario.
