More than 40 nurses received awards at the annual CSRA Nursing Showcase held May 2 at the Augusta Marriott Hotel & Suites.

Lisa Waller, a registered nurse at the Uptown Division of the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, was named Nurse of the Year.

Thirty-five nurses from nine hospitals, doctors' offices and other health care providers had been nominated. Ms. Waller was recognized for her dedication to veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Forty nurses received Spirit of Nursing Awards at the banquet.
