First Presbyterian Church Augusta will hold a Bible and Missionary Conference Saturday through March 9.
The conference will begin with work projects today at the church’s various parishes. Guest speakers include Matt Lorish, the pastor of Northside Church in Richmond, Va., D.A. Carson, research professor of the New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill., and Mack Stiles, general secretary for the Fellowship of Christian UAW Students in the United Arab Emirates.
At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dr. Billy Kim will preach. He is the pastor emeritus of one of South Korea’s largest churches and chairman of the Far East Broadcasting Company in Korea. A 40-member Korean Children’s Choir, which travels with Dr. Kim, will also perform.
Drs. Clydette Powell and Gloria Halverson will speak about human trafficking at the Missions Conference Supper on Wednesday.

Mardi Gras event
St. Paul’s Church will hold its annual Mardi Gras Fundraiser Party at 7 p.m. today.
The Paul Roberts All Star Band will perform a variety of dance music. A Cajun dinner and a no-host bar with beer and wine are included. The event will also include an auction.
Costumes are optional. Proceeds will fund the church’s signature food ministries.

Tabernacle Baptist Church will hold its 15th annual Women’s Conference March 7-9.
This year’s theme is Celebrating 15 years of Godly Women Making an Impact.
Presentations include topics related to healthy living, relationships and influence.

The Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith will hold the 57th annual Missionary Convention and Bishops’ Midwinter Conference Monday through March 9 at the Augusta Convention Center.
The convention is open to the public. Daily seminars and services will begin at 9 a.m., and evening services will start at 7 p.m. All events are free.
