Cancer research fundraiser

Gospel groups and a Christian comedian are part of the entertainment for an American Cancer Society fundraiser at 5 p.m. today at Burke County High School, 1057 Perimeter Road in Waynesboro. Ga.

Performers include Christian comedian Tommy Ingram; the Gospel Originals, of Aiken; Blessed, of Appling; Cleo Williams and Pine Hill Third Chapel Choir, of Waynesboro; and the Brown Brothers.

Passion Play to have 2 shows

More than 120 performers will act out a Passion Play at First Assembly of God in Lincolnton, Ga., at 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday.

The program begins with Amazing Grace on bagpipes by Mark Cheek and continues with a 48-voice adult choir and a 33-voice children's choir. The drama follows the life of Christ, played by Jason LeRoy.

The play is free and nursery is provided. Both performances will be held at the church, 328 May Ave.

Living Last Supper at fort

The Last Supper will be dramatized at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in Fort Gordon's Bicentennial Chapel on Brainard Avenue.

A Good Friday service will be held at noon in the chapel.

Macedonia Baptist Church on Wrightsboro Road is expanding with a new service in Grovetown.
