- Sarah Collins, a Realtor for Century 21 Larry Miller Realty, has received the companywide Agent of the Month award for outstanding overall listing, sales and customer satisfaction performance in September.

- Maria Vaill, a Realtor for Century 21 Larry Miller Realty, has received the CSRA Home Connections' Agent of the Month award for September for being the top referral source for clients to the organization's Preferred Providers.

- Chris DuPree, of Bill Beazley Homes, has completing the National Association of Home Builders' Finance Banking Course.

- Angela Kelley, a University Hospital registered nurse, has been named the hospital's Educator of the Year for 2007. The 20-year veteran has worked in several departments, including telemetry, oncology, case management and education resources. Finalists for the award included: Kinya Brown, a registered nurse in the women's center postpartum; Elisabeth Frails, a school of cardiovascular technology educator; Erin Jarvis, a clinical nurse supervisor, renal and cardiac services; Kevin Lulham, a clinical nurse supervisor, coronary care unit; and Gwen Mann, a systems programmer, information systems.

- Tiffany N. Pigee, of Keller Williams Realty Augusta Partners, has completed course work for the certified residential specialist designation.

- Augusta Cruise Inc. specialists Mary Jacobson and Debra Cathey attended Cruises Inc.'s 12th annual National Conference onboard Norwegian Cruise Line's ship Norwegian Pearl.

- University Hospital's vascular lab has received a three-year reaccreditation in five areas of vascular testing by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories.

- Hamp Vining received Wachovia Bank's Service Award for 29 years of service.

- Michael Valadez, of Augusta Sportswear, has received the certificate in Supply Chain & Logistics designation from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

- Ira Bedenbaugh, a principal at Elliott Davis LLC, served as a guest speaker at the inaugural Healthcare Managers Workshop, Healthcare Management in Today's Environment, sponsored by the Aiken chapter of the South Carolina Healthcare Managers Association. His presentations included From Top Line to Bottom Line: How Office Managers Affect the Profitability of Practice, and Working Smarter, Not Harder: Knowing the ABCs of Effective Management.

- Jane Nicholson has been named a member of Sigma Alpha Lambada, the national leadership and honors organization at the University of Mississippi dedicated to promoting academic achievement and providing members with opportunities for community service.
