'MARLEY & ME'
RELEASED: Dec. 25
MPAA RATING: PG
THE PLOT: This movie is about the Grogans (Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston). They adopt a cute Labrador puppy that grows into a huge dog and turns their home into a complete mess. Although Marley is a disaster and ruins everything, they decide they wouldn't want it any other way.
MY THOUGHTS: This is a great movie to see with your family.

'TALES OF SYMPHONIA: DAWN OF THE NEW WORLD'
RELEASED: Nov. 11
ESRB RATING: Teen
GAME PLOT: Emil Castagnier is a shy, sensitive boy whose life changes when he meets Marta Lualdi. Marta adores Emil and makes him a knight of Ratatosk. As a knight, Emil is charged with waking Ratatosk, a centurion who is in charge of the world's supply of manna and monsters. The only way Ratatosk can be awakened is if Marta and Emil hatch all the centurion cores, which can be found in the various dungeons throughout the game.
MY THOUGHTS: Namco says this is not a direct sequel to Tales of Symphonia, but it is hard not to label it as such. All the original characters help Marta and Emil.
Mature humor is still present, along with a plot twist that makes this seemingly straightforward story line complicated. Most of the musical scores are the same but several new pieces boast beautiful melodies. Although considerably shorter than its predecessor, Dawn of the New World should still surprise Tales veterans and new players alike.

'808S & HEARTBREAK'</p>
ARTIST: Kanye West
RELEASED: Nov. 25
MY THOUGHTS: Kanye West has transferred his heartbreak over the death of his mother into this CD. Without his usual upbeat, egotistical quips and jokes, this album is unlike anything Mr. West has accomplished. This CD overflows with self-pity and anguish but offers insight, too. Although the lyrics are dark, the music is hard to resist.
LAST WORDS: His bold new style is refreshing, although dismal.
