RELEASED: Oct. 24
MPAA RATING: R
THE PLOT: Changeling, starring Angelina Jolie and directed by Clint Eastwood, tells the true story of a single mother living in Los Angeles in the 1920s whose child is kidnapped. The police later find a boy that they believe to be her son, but Christine, Ms. Jolie's character, does not recognize the boy. This development leads to a gripping story line that deals with resilience, bravery, feminism, corruption, and pure, undying maternal love.
MY THOUGHTS: Changeling is a must-see.

'The Secret Life of Bees'
RELEASED: Oct. 17
MPAA RATING: PG-13
THE PLOT: Fourteen-year-old Lily Owens lives with the burden that she killed her mother when she was 4. Because of her distressed relationship with her father and her longing to know more about her mother, she and her housekeeper Rosaleen run away to Tiburon, S.C. They meet three beekeeping sisters who know the secret about Lily's mother.
MY THOUGHTS: Although the movie does not follow the book exactly, it still has the crucial events to make the movie understandable. While it may seem overly sweet, the character analysis of Lily's thoughts reveals that she is carrying intense emotions that most girls her age do not have to deal with. There are happy events in the movie, but it is ignorant to say that the characters "lived happily ever after."

ARTIST: Taylor Swift
RELEASED: Nov. 11
MY THOUGHTS: Fearless is an awesome follow-up to her self-titled debut. There are songs about her love life and one about when she met her best friend. This CD also includes her hit Love Story. If you like country music, and especially Ms. Swift, then you will surely love this CD.
