I came to The Augusta Chronicle in August 2010 after graduating from The University of Florida with degrees in journalism and Spanish literature. I'm now the education reporter and am always looking for story ideas. (If you have an interesting story idea, hit me up!) During college I held internships at The Palm Beach Post, The St. Augustine Record and Alachua County Today. At those papers I covered business and economic trends, local government, features, and crime. My other passion is riding and training horses. I’ve been riding nearly all my life and train in jumping and dressage. In college I worked at a Selle Francais breeding farm, where we broke young horses and trained them through Grand Prix. I have a 12-year-old Appendix Quarter Horse named Zack, who I adore and is like my child!
