About Me

Born and raised right here, I moved away for college in the 1990s, never dreaming I'd one day return to work for my hometown newspaper. I began my journalism career in production at a couple of publications in Asheville, N.C., then moved to rural southwest Georgia, where I worked as a writer, editor and photographer for several newspapers. Today I'm back doing what I enjoy the most, which is reporting and writing. Send me tips! You can follow me on Twitter at @reportr1 or reach me at facebook.com/susanmccord.
