I have lived in Aiken County, S.C., all of my life and have been involved with newspapers since my senior year at Midland Valley High School (1994). I was editor of Pacer Times while attending USC Aiken. Then I worked for a couple of years at The Aiken Standard before crossing the river to Augusta about a dozen years ago. When I'm not at work, I can usually be found at home with my wonderful family (Jamie, wife of 14 years; daughter, Abigail, 4.5; and several cats and dogs) or at the Aiken Community Playhouse, where I am the Volunteer Coordinator and Theater Manager on the Board of Directors. I've also been an actor (Outstanding Supporting Actor for "Christmas Belles" and "Picasso at the Lipan Agile"), stage manager, sound designer, assistant director and director (Outstanding Director in a Non-Musical for "Rabbit Hole").
