JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Florida's Doug Dickey and John L. Williams will join Georgia's David Greene and Charles Whittemore as the 2012 inductees into the Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame.
The ceremony will be held Oct. 26, the day before the two schools renew their rivalry in Jacksonville.
Dickey played for the Gators from 1951-53. He threw a touchdown and ran for one in UF's 21-7 win over the Bulldogs in 1953.
Williams, UF's seventh leading career rusher with 2,409 yards, played at UF from 1982-85 after a stellar prep career at Palatka. He was a member of the 1984 Gators squad that blanked UGa 27-0.
Greene left Georgia in 2004 as the nation's all-time winningest quarterback in NCAA Division I play with 42 victories, a record that no longer stands. Greene beat the Gators in his final try, a 31-24 triumph in 2004.
Whittemore never endured a loss to UF. Playing split end from 1968-70, Whittemore led the Bulldogs in receiving three years.
