The Aiken Spring Steeplechase couldn't be called an absolute success. There were actually one or two clouds in the sky. Otherwise, the sun shone brightly and the estimated 30,000 people who packed Ford Conger Field celebrated the second leg of the Aiken Triple Crown in fine fashion.
