The seven-time Grammy Award-winning country trio’s Own The Night 2012 Tour is making a stop at James Brown Arena Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Tuesday's performance is sold out.
The tour will feature special guest Thompson Square.
Lady Antebellum has hometown connections in Columbia County natives Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, who graduated from Lakeside High School. Formed in 2006, the band also includes co-lead singer Hillary Scott.
In October, Lady Antebellum performed at Evans Towne Center Park during a dedication ceremony for the amphitheater, which is named in the band’s honor.
It’s been a good year for Lady Antebellum. On Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards, Lady Antebellum won the award for Top Country Artist.
In April, the band won Vocal Group of the Year for the third straight year at the Academy of Country Music Awards. In February, Lady Antebellum picked up the Best Country Album award for the second straight year during the Grammy Awards, after winning five Grammys in 2011 and another in 2010.
Lady Antebellum’s self-titled, debut album went double platinum, and its second album, “Need You Now,” reached triple platinum. Lady Antebellum’s third album, “Own The Night,” was released in September.
