Justin Moore to perform at 'Chronicle' event

The Augusta Chronicle celebrates its 225th anniversary this year and we’re throwing a party featuring a performance by Justin Moore.

The Friday night kick-off concert with Moore is Aug. 20 at Jessye Norman Amphitheater. Pat Blanchard and Brandon McGuiness are the opening acts. Gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets go on sale Monday . The cost is $15. For purchasing information, call (706) 823-3445.

Other performers set to take the stage are Great Day in the Morning, Tara Scheyer and the Mud Puppy Band and 48 Volt. They will perform on Aug. 21 for Family Day at the Augusta Common, a day of music, food and fun, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free.

The Augusta Chronicle Day at The GreenJackets is 5:35 p.m., Aug. 22. Tickets are available at GreenJacketsBaseball.com. For more information about the three-day anniversary celebration, call (706) 364-6400.
