Due to an overwhelming response from local New Edition fans, the band’s 30th anniversary tour has been moved to a larger venue and the date of the concert has changed.

The New Edition 30th Anniversary Reunion Tour has been relocated from the USC Aiken Convocation Center to James Brown Arena to accommodate a larger crowd. Also, the concert originally scheduled for April 12 at USC Aiken Convocation Center will be held May 1 at James Brown Arena in Augusta.

Ticket prices are $29.50, $39.50, $49.50 and $61.50. Tickets are available online at www.georgialinatix.com, by calling (877) 4AUGTIX or visiting the Champion’s Box Office at James Brown Arena. Tickets purchased for the April 12 concert at USC Aiken Convocation Center will be honored on May 1 at James Brown Arena.

New Edition members Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, Ricky Bel, Mike Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe and Ralph Tresvant will sing their most popular songs, such as Candy Girl and Can You Stand the Rain. The concert will also include tunes that launched their solo careers, such as My Prerogative by Bobby Brown, My My My by Johnny Gill, Sensitivity by Ralph Tresvant and Poison by Bell, Bivins, DeVoe.

Happy or not, this is much

Happy or not, this is much better news than the usual announcements of cancellation due to low ticket sales that the past management was always having to make. USCA or JBA, looks great for Global Spectrum, so I'm sure they aren't complaining.

I agree with bdouglas. Glad

I agree with bdouglas. Glad to see this happen, even if I don't plan to go to this show. Maybe it will encourage promoters to book other touring acts in our area.
