The event, free and open to the public, features “Swamp Stomp” runs, games and entertainment for kids, live music and shows.
Runners register at 7 a.m. The Earth Day Celebration begins at 10 a.m. and is followed by a reptile presentation.
The Yoga Center will be on hand with Gentle Stretch Yoga at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., the results of the recycled art competition will be announced at 12:30 p.m., and a Goodwill Recycled Fashion Show at 2 p.m. The last event of the day will be the Flight of the Raptor Show at 3 p.m.
In addition to the chance to meet falcons and hawks, a tortoise and reptiles, visitors can recycle items.
Kids activities include nature printing and seedling planting, nature journaling and sketching.
The Earth Day celebration will take place rain or shine. The park is at 1858 Lock and Dam Road.
