Seven Handle Circus, a six-piece Georgia band that has been labeled “bad-ass bluegrass” with the “drive and energy of a rock band,” will play at Sky City on Saturday, March 1. Doors open at 8 p.m. and music starts at 10. Cover charge is $5. The band uses elements of rock, punk and alternative music and their love of traditional bluegrass and folk music to create their own sound. “Ok, so we are not really a bluegrass band,” Seven Handle Circus’ lead banjo player, Colin Vinson, said in a press release. “We have these instruments, the acoustic sounds, but we really just play whatever we want.” For more about the band, see skycityaugusta.com.
