Augusta Futurity events feature cutting horses, Wrangler Family Fun Fest

The Augusta Futurity, the 35th edition of the largest cutting horse show east of the Mississippi River, continues through Saturday, Jan. 25, at James Brown Arena. Cutting horse competition begins at 10 a.m. daily.

The Wrangler Family Fun Fest returns Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Seventh Street Plaza side of James Brown Arena. The free event features pony rides, horseshoes, steer roping, crafts and more.

Also through Saturday, the Western Expo vendor fair is running at Bell Auditorium.

A daytime pass for the Futurity is $9 adults and $2 children 12 or younger.

Champions Challenge: Jan. 23, $14.50 adults, $5 children 12 or younger

Classic Finals: Jan. 24, $14.50 adults, $5 children, reserved seating

Futurity Finals: Jan. 25, $16.50 adults, $5 children, reserved seating
