The show is planned for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12, at Bell Auditorium.

Tickets cost $55 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the James Brown Arena box office, online at georgialinatix.com or by calling (877) 4AUGTIX.

In a news release, promoter Live Nation says “Chappelle is without a doubt one of the most distinctive voices working in comedy today.

A comedian, screenwriter, television and film producer, actor and artist, Mr. Chappelle has been working in the entertainment industry since the age of 14. His 2003, boundary-bashing television series, Chappelle’s Show, catapulted the comic into international stardom.

Since leaving the show, Chappelle has continued to work rooms from New York to Los Angeles and everywhere in between, often dropping in unannounced to the delight of comedy fans.”

He is a funny guy...like most

He is a funny guy...like most comedians today, the language is a little raunchy, but otherwise he's good for a laugh.

Yeah, the language is a LOT

Yeah, the language is a LOT raunchy, if you ask me. But, I think in some circumstances, you have to know what it is you're dealing with to look past that. And, in this case, you're dealing with a comedian, and all comedians tend to utilize "shock value" in their act. Chappelle is no different. Frankly, I do find him very funny and imaginative.

No thanks

We have choices, I choose to say no thank you. I have nothing against him or those that think he is funny but to me he is not funny. Have fun, I will stay at home.
