The Remedy wins 2013 AMPED Music Contest

Eskimojitos, She N She place in top three

The Remedy, a contemporary Christian rock act, and its original song How We Roll took first place in The Augusta Chronicle’s 2013 AMPED Music Contest on Saturday night at the Arts in the Heart of Augusta festival.

And, for the first time in the 11 years of the contest, judges awarded a tie – to Eskimojitos, for Golden Gate, and She N She, for Secrets – to round out the top three.

Judges Brian Allen, Joe Graves and Dr. Samir Khleif selected the winner and two runners-up based on a 20-minute performance. To make it to the finals, the top six acts survived two rounds of online voting at augustachronicle.com/AMPED.

The three remaining finalists were D. Blaze with Day Dreaming, Dallas Duff with Perfect Ten and Chris Hardy with She’s A Loud Thinker.
