New Edition reunion tour date set for USC Aiken Convocation Center

New Edition, seen performing at the 2011 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, will make a stop at the USC Aiken Convocation Center in April.

 

New Edition – with all six members on a 30th anniversary reunion tour – has planned a concert stop April 12 at the University of South Aiken Convocation Center. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets –$39.50, $49.50 and $61.50 – go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, online at www.georgialinatix.com, by phone at (866) 722-8877, at the USC Aiken Convocation Center Box Office and at the Champion’s Box Office at the James Brown Arena.

The band that got its start in the 1980s includes Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, Ricky Bel, Mike Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe and Ralph Tresvant. The group produced teen pop hits such as Candy Girl, Can You Stand the Rain and the chart-toppers that launched their solo careers including My Prerogative (Bobby Brown), My My My (Johnny Gill), Sensitivity (Ralph Tresvant), and Poison (Bell, Bivins, DeVoe).
