Looked everywhere and still can't find the perfect gift? Try Etsy.
Etsy.com is a site that sells handmade and vintage items. Looking for a zombie T-shirt? Jackalope art? Unique jewelry? You can find it.
There are a couple of ways to search for gifts. One new way is by using the personalized gift suggestions on Facebook. After connecting to Facebook (click "buy") you can pick a Facebook friend for recommendations. Using the person's "likes," it gives various gift ideas.
I searched using my 19-year-old brother Luke's profile -- a difficult demographic to shop for. Because Luke likes Iron Man, it gave results including Iron Man cuff links and a computer decal. Because Luke likes engineering, it gave results for math-related items such as an "I do math in pen" shirt and a clock with math equations on it.
You can also support local crafty folks by using the "shop local" search. Local shops include a variety of items, from ironworks to hair accessories.
If you're not sure where to start, I recommend perusing the "treasury" lists, which are curated by topic.
