If you love sports, you will find plenty of low-cost sporting events in town this month. You can enjoy tennis, baseball, BMX bike races, bull riding and other events without breaking your budget. Here's a sampling:

BMX BIKE RACES, BMX Track, 2050 Division St., (877) 269-1269, ext. 101: At 7 p.m. Aug. 21 and 28, you can watch people of all ages race and jump on bicycles on one of the longest tracks in the Southeast, according to track director Mitch Moon. Admission is free. For more information, visit www.augustabmx.com.

PROFESSIONAL BULL RIDING, USC Aiken Convocation Center, 375 Robert Bell Parkway, (800) 643-6900: At 8 p.m. Aug. 27 and 28, you can watch professional bull riders battle it out in the rodeo. Some people call it the "most exciting eight seconds in sports."

General admission tickets cost $15. Lower-level tickets are $20 and $25. Buy tickets at the USC Aiken Convocation Center box office, online at www.georgialinatix.com or call (866) 722-8877.

MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL, Augusta GreenJackets, Lake Olmstead Stadium, 78 Milledge Road, Augusta, (706) 736-7889:

General admission tickets for adults cost $7 Sunday through Thursday, and $8 on Friday and Saturday. Fireworks nights cost $9.

Tickets for children (ages 4 to 12), seniors and military cost $6 Sunday through Thursday, $7 on Friday and Saturday and $8 on fireworks nights. Tickets for children 3 and younger cost $1.

There are eight more home games on the schedule:

vs. Lexington Legends:

- Aug. 21, 23 and 24: 7:05 p.m.

- Aug. 22: 5:35 p.m.

vs. West Virginia Power:

- Aug. 25-28: 7:05 p.m.

The Aug. 28 game is the final home game of the season and will include fireworks and fan appreciation, with prize giveaways.

TENNIS, USTA GEORGIA STATE MIXED DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP, multiple locations. For more information, call the Newman Tennis Center at (706) 821-1600. Admission is free.

From Friday to Monday , you can watch the best doubles tennis teams from across Georgia compete. There are seven sites for tennis matches. Players will compete from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday and Monday at all sites, which include:
