St. Patrick's Day is big in Augusta, but it's massive in Savannah.
At 10 a.m. Wednesday, the city will stage its 186th St. Patrick's Day Parade. After the parade, you can wander over to the City Market, just a few blocks from the parade route. The St. Patrick's Day Celebration will feature music and food and will continue through the next day.
You can get a head start on festivities this Friday and Saturday at The Rousakis Riverfront Plaza on River Street, which will be the site of a pre-St. Patrick's Day Bash.
The Tara Feis Irish Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday will feature outdoor stage performances, dancing, crafts and food. It's free and held at Emmett Park.
Other events Wednesday include a parade on Tybee Island, a Celtic Cross ceremony, St. Patrick's Day Mass and a Jasper Green ceremony.
