George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic, James Brown Band to play Major Rager event for 2018 Masters Week

The fifth annual Major Rager to be held Friday during Masters Week will feature Grammy Award-winning performer, writer and producer George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. Also performing will be the James Brown Band.

To be held at the Augusta Common, the Major Rager will honor the musical legacy of James Brown. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit James Brown Academy of Musik Pupils, which furthers music education for Augusta’s youth.

Friends With Benefits Productions announced that more performers will be announced at a later date in conjunction with a social media contest that can be found at @FWBpro on Instagram and Twitter.

After the Major Rager, an official afterparty is planned at Sky City with a “collection of the who’s who in the world of music featuring Matt Butler’s Everyone Orchestra,” a new release said.
