Eleven Eleven Eleven Nine

Eleven Eleven Eleven

Nine binary days this year and it won’t happen again for 89 years in 2100; the dates are:

010111, 011011, 011111, 100111, 101011, 101111, 110111, 111011, 111111

The men that controlled the Western World in World War One were young and impressionable in the nineteenth century; heavily influenced by the Romantic Period they had a kinship with mysticism. The world had never seen such carnage as the ancient art of war united with industrial power. In their naiveté and hope they sometimes referred to the conflict as “the War to End All Wars”. In the spirit of this more romantic era, cessation of hostilities ended on 11 November at eleven o'clock in the morning of 1918 or the mystic numerological time:

—the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month"

This year that anniversary will be on 111111 @ 11:00:00 GMT

A noble endeavor but it was not to be.
