New menus offer international flavor

Ole Ole Mexican Bar and Grill is now open at 3064 Washington Road.


The menu features seafood, fajitas, pork, steak, soups, salads, nachos and a kids' menu with hamburgers, spaghetti, hot dogs and chicken nuggets. Also on the menu: Puerto Rican cuisine, such as an octopus appetizer, served in a lemon vinaigrette, and grilled, seasoned skirt steak with chimichurri.

The hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Call (706) 228-1950.

Caribbean food is now on the menu at The C & D Hot Spot Caribbean Grill (formerly the Cock N' Dawg), 129 Ninth St., which reopened Friday after closing for a few weeks.

"We still have the Cock N' Dawg wings, but mainly we have the jerk chicken, curry chicken, oxtail, curry goat, beef patties, coco bread," owner Heather Curry said.

The wings are $6.95 for 12, $11.95 for 24 and $22.95 for 50. The jerk chicken is $6.95 for a small plate and $8.49 for a large; the oxtail and curried goat are $8.49 for a small and $9.99 for a large; and the curried chicken is $6.79 for a small and $7.99 for a large.

Each plate comes with two sides, which include Jamaican beef patties, rice and peas, white rice, steamed mixed vegetables, plantains, coco bread and bammy (a Jamaican flatbread).

Ms. Curry said Tony Reid, who owned the defunct S & E Hot Spot in Hephzibah, is the cook.

The hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to around 1 or 2 a.m. Friday-Saturday.
