Columbia County is offering a fun beach-themed way to kick off summer.
The annual Summer Beach Blast concert starts at 6 p.m. Friday, June 6, at Evans Towne Center Park in Evans.
The Beach Blast features beach music from The Catalinas, Jim Quick and the Coastline and The Embers.
“There will be water slides for children to play on, beach balls and dancing in the sand,” Columbia County Community Events Manager Stacie Adkins said. “We are kicking off the summer beach season with a fun evening of classic beach music.”
The event also will feature food and drink vendors, corn hole and shag dancing.
The gates open at 5 p.m. and the music begins at 6.
Tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 the day of the concert. Children 12 and under get in free.
Advanced tickets are available online at www.etix.com or from the Community and Leisure Services Division office on the first floor of Building C of the Evans Government Complex on Ronald Reagan Drive in Evans.
The ticket booth at the park will open at 10 a.m. on the day of the concert.
