Powerfest urban music festival set for Saturday

The annual urban music festival and outdoor concert known as Powerfest returns Saturday, April 27.


The festival will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Augusta Exchange Club Fairgrounds.

Powerfest 2K13 will feature performances by Cash Out, B Smith, Shawty Lo, Jarvis, Mykko Montana, TK & Cash, Raheem Devaughn, Sevyn Streeter, Ravaughn, Lye Jennings, and more than 30 national and local artists.

Also featured will be the winner of the “Power 107 Talent Takeover,” an online contest where local artists submit music samples and listeners vote for their favorite performer; the Empire Auto Car and Bike Show; a fun zone and mobile game trailer; and more than 40 vendors selling food, clothing, jewelry, and arts and crafts.

Advance tickets are $15 (or $10 each for 10 or more) from Power107.net. Tickets at the gate will be $20.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Augusta Partnership for Children, a nonprofit collaborative that works with agencies, organizations and individuals to improve the lives of children and families in Richmond County.
