First round voting closed in Amped music contest

The first round of voting in Amped: The Augusta Chronicle Music Contest has ended.


From the initial entries, 12 acts – six selected by popular vote and six critic's picks – will be announced as semifinalists.

Semi-final voting will take place Aug. 14-27 and six acts – three selected by popular vote and three critic’s picks, will go on to the finals at the Arts In the Heart of Augusta festival on Sept. 15.
