Onstage: Community theaters present 'The Hallelujah Girls' and 'Here on the Flight Path'

Auditions for the Aiken Community Playhouse Youth Wing are set for Aug. 24-25. THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS: Edgefield County Theatre Company will present the comedy The Hallelujah Girls at 8 p.m. Aug. 23, 24 and 3 p.m. Aug. 25 at William Miller Bouknight Theatre, 405 Main St., in Edgefield. Tickets are $18. Call (803) 637-3833.

YOUTH THEATER: Aiken Community Playhouse Youth Wing offers free monthly theater workshops for grades 4 through 12.

Workshops are held on second Saturdays from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. for grades 4-7, and 1-3:30 p.m. for grades 8-12 at the URS Center for the Performing Arts, 126 Newberry St. SW.

Auditions for the Youth Wing Company will be Aug. 24-25 at the URS Center. Students in eighth through 12th grades should come prepared with a Broadway song and monologue.
