The Aiken Community Playhouse has something marvelous in mind for this weekend.

The theater company will present The Marvelous Wonderettes, a musical, at 8 p.m. Feb. 17-18 and 3 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Aiken Municipal Building Conference Center, 214 Park Ave. SW.

Tickets are $35 for the evening performances, which include dessert and dancing, and $20 for the Sunday matinee (show only). The shows are a fundraiser for Aiken Community Playhouse.

The Marvelous Wonderettes takes the audience to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where they’ll meet the Wonderettes, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts. Meanwhile, they’ll hear classic songs from the 1950s and ’60s such as Lollipop, Dream Lover, Stupid Cupid, Lipstick On Your Collar, Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me and 20 other hits.
