Someone who is deeply committed in moving Augusta forward and will stand up to the commissioners that are in office now, they have cost Augusta millions of dollars with no industry coming here because of their asinine behavior.

I believe James "cotton" Flynn should be mayor of Augusta, Ga because of his extensive knowledge of business and people! He has served the community for almost 30 years and one of the last people who believes in the economic developement in south augusta.

Since our commission cant see anything beyond black and white the last thing we need is Marion Williams in the Mayor's seat. He seems to be happiest when stirring up race issues where there are none. I vote for Jimmy Atkins, he is doing great with Lark and the school board so maybe he can lead the commission to a "gray" area, it could only help.

Not one of the current slate of Commissioners if qualified and if you don't get rid of them all you may as well fold up the City Charter and make a paper airplane ...where's Moses Todd when you need him ...? ...from a thankfully ex-Augusta resident.

Marion Williams should continue as mayor, why bring in new blood now. It will only slow down Augusta's progess. We are dragging are tails enough now! When the new election comes up that's when we bring in nw blood, new ideas.

Whomever the commissioners appoint as interim mayor, should be someone who isn't interested in campaigning for the position. I recommend James Kendrick, a solid individual who is really concerned about the future of our city. James is a proven leader who has worked with various community organizations and all citizens.

I am glad to see mayor young leaving..i feel that he nor larry sconyers done much of anything to improve augusta..which is my lifetime home...i would really like to see Charles Devaney back in office..i feel that he went above and beyond to better augusta..i think larry sconyers was a joke and i feel the same way about bob young..i would also love to see Lake Olmstead made accesible to the public again..so that we could ride thru and fish from the docks..myself along with many many others that have physical problems that prevent us from the long walk thru to do anything there..i understand it was closed to cut down on drug activity but i don't feel that made a difference...the drugs will be here long after our generation has came in gone..anything that is my take on things

I believe that Augusta could use someone as Mayor that isn't afraid to speak their mind and is not intimidated by our commissioners. Linda Beazley
