Hmmmm, A Drunk Homeless Woman with $120. Yeeah Right
A homeless Augusta woman told police she was robbed, raped and sodomized early Thursday morning.
According to a Richmond County sheriff's report, the 37-year-old victim said she was in the 400 block of Greene Street between 2 and 3 a.m. when a man walked up behind her, grabbed her around the neck, pressed a gun against her neck and told her not to move.
The victim said the man took $120 from her and then raped and sodomized her.
The woman said she was eventually able to remove a knife from her pants and cut the assailant across the left side of his face.
The victim said she then fled west on Greene Street.
The sheriff office was notified of the incident Friday morning by a nurse in University Hospitals emergency room, the report said.
The assailant was described as black, in his mid-40s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds. He was wearing black pants, a black shirt with spots of gold-color trim and a baseball cap turned backward.
The victim said she had consumed an unknown amount of alcohol with her boyfriend before the incident.

Just because she is homeless doesn't mean that she can't turn tricks.....or dealing......
Hope she cut him good enough for an ER visit and the cops.
shred it!!
Augusta is the rape capital of Georgia, you know.
Emerydan, Augusta would cease being a hunting ground with the addition of two time-honored inventions known as the chain gang and the hanging noose.
to bad the lady aim was too high. next time aim for the jugular vein.
cadam12 I was thinking about a place about 3 feet lower.
And here silly ole me was sitting here trying to figure out if it was rape or theft of services.
Comments removed out of civility.
Where was the boyfriend at the time of the incident?
Does seem kind of odd for a "homeless" person to be carrying that kind of cash on them
Emerydan, a woman with that kind of cash in that neighborhood at that time of night who had a sip or three doesn't surprise me at all. Did she perhaps escape from Harrisburg?
Baker, you remove my comment?
Sounds like prostitution was involved in this somehow.
Somehow the thought of sodomy on a homeless woman seems, how should I put it, nasty.
Jake, the words I'd choose are "scary" and "risky". Don't forget the knife that happened to be in her panties.....
YUCK. Jake, you got it right, buddy.
Y'all are making me sick.
Marsh, the article said pants, so maybe it was not as bad as it seems.
Homeless or not, NO ONE should be raped, molested and/or robbed! Homeless doesn't necessary means....dirty and dingy. In this economy, most are 2 paychecks from the streets! Yes, it's possible she had $100+....whatever the case, it's her body...it shouldn't be violiated! Too bad, she couldn't stick the knife in his butt and twist it!
You pack of ravening wolves! You assume it is alright to make fun of this woman because she is in an unfortunate position. You are all dogs of the worst kind, and you should be ashamed. There is a special place in Hell for the likes of you!!
I agree with you, mefirst except that my dog is insulted and has filed a complaint against you for defamation of species. I would liken the criminal and some of the above posters to cockroachs. Let's break out the Raid....
It is very likley this incident involved prostitution.. that does not however excuse what this criminal did to this woman.
I find it hard to believe that a fine upstanding young black man in Augusta would have done such a thing. I'm tired of all these racists claiming that these crimes are being committed by blacks....Let's hear about some crimes by those evil blue eyed, blond haired kids for a change!
The woman worked hard for the money. Good for her and good that she defended herself. The assailant tried to get something for nothing. And it cost him any way!
I still want to know where the boyfriend had disappeared to. Yep, the the incident likely involved prostitution. Did it involve rape, etc????
If she said "no" even once, KSL, it was rape. And whether she was homeless, a prostitute, a drug user/dealer, she didn't deserve what happened to her. However, I still do agree that it was risky, nasty and criminal.
It is good some of you do not have the power of a sitting judge.
Your "justice" for this woman would be very lacking.
To the one's that think that a woman beign attacked is a joke, it should have been your mother or daughter!!!!
