Tickets needed for author Charlaine Harris event in Evans

Author Charlaine Harris will speak at the Columbia County Library at 7 p.m. Saturday, but if you’re a big fan, plan on getting there earlier.

Because of the high demand to see the author of the Sookie Stackhouse novels, the library will issue 450 tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis, starting at 6 p.m. Saturday. No tickets will be distributed before 6 p.m.

Admission is free, but a ticket is required to attend the event at the Jabex S. Hardin Performing Arts Center in the Columbia County Library.

The event is part of the Columbia County Reads Together program. Ms. Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse series inspired the HBO series True Blood.

For more information, contact the library at (706) 863-1946.
