CALABASH, N.C. - Evans’ Adam McKenney won a three-hole sudden-death playoff today to capture the Hooters Tour’s Carolina Winter Series event at Crow Creek Golf Club.

It was the first professional win for McKenney, who earned $2,500 in just his second pro start. The 23-year-old, a former two-time winner on the Regions Cup amateur circuit, tied for second last week in his Winter Series debut and now has $3,850 in earnings.

McKenney birdied the final two holes of regulation to shoot even-par 72 and finish tied at 2-under 214 with Luke Hart, of Blythewood, S.C., and Tony Parrish, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. Hart shot 69 and Parrish shot 72.

The Top 5 members on the 2009-10 Carolina Winter Series money list will earn full exempt status on the 2010 NGA/Hooters Tour Pro Series.
