Six months after the filming, a Martinez pet food business will appear twice this month on Discovery Channel's series called Dirty Jobs.
Ghanns Cricket Farm will be the main segment Jan. 12 of the weekly cable show that profiles American workers who earn a living in unusual ways.
The cricket farms mealworm operation will be featured in a smaller segment following the main episode on Jan. 19.
The business grows crickets of different sizes as live food for reptiles. It also sells cricket poo as fertilizer.
The shows featuring the Martinez business will begin at 9 p.m.
Show producers filmed the show at the end of June. Ghanns was contacted more than a year ago as a possible feature for the show.
i watched it just last night (dirty jobs) Mike Rowe was helping some guys overhaul a locomotive engine ! i especially like it when he does something that i have done like work on the deck of a gas drilling rig it was dirty and long hours 90 &100 hour work weeks were not uncommon
Kind of ironic that the host of "dirty jobs" is gay
AND they are working ! Supporting self and others. God bless them all.
