A couple returned home after Christmas to find thieves had broken into their Skinner Mill Road apartment and stolen pills and blank checks.

The 26-year-old victim said she and her husband spent Christmas in Mississippi and when they came home they found that someone had smashed a rear kitchen window and stole pain and other kinds of medications, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s report.

The thieves also took four books of blank checks.
