THOMSON, Ga. - Authorities say Robert Holt, 25, wanted to get back at his old girlfriend by throwing a Molotov cocktail through the window of her home.
But he got the wrong house.
He is being held today without bond, charged with throwing the firebomb through the window of a Dell Drive house on Sunday night.
Mr. Holt was taken into custody shortly after the incident by officers with the Thomson Police Department. He has been arrested on a number of charges in recent months, authorities say, and is now facing charges of arson in the first-degree, four counts of aggravated assault and possession of an explosive device, according to police records.
Each charge is a felony.
No one was injured when the explosive device was thrown through the front window of a residence in the 500 block of Dell Drive shortly before 9 p.m., police said.
Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John W. Oxendine said in a prepared statement that Mr. Holt had mistaken the home for one where he thought his estranged girlfriend was living. Mr. Oxendine said he had the wrong house.
Firefighters with the Thomson Fire Department responded to a fire call at the residence where damage was reported, and state Fire Marshal Investigator Michael Crosby was called to the scene, as well.
Mr. Holt is being held without bond in the McDuffie County Law Enforcement Center.

He certainly was not thinking about the consequences of his actions, but he will have quite a few years to think about what he did. It is a miracle no one was injured.

Navy Seals use "Reconnaissance" to gain important information before their missions. Evidently that and "Covert" aren't in this guy's vocabulary.

This post was removed because of violation of the comment policy. Aside from regurgitating our indoctrination, what can be posted?? Free speech??? Naw. We can only say what has been approved for saying. If it doesn't fit the brainwashing or approved indoctrination, then it is deleted. You may not think "outside the box". Rag of a paper. Plenty of sites on the internet where one can express his/her opinion without this type of unwarranted editing. Communist control of thought and free speech. Kiss my donkey right square on his lips. I can get my news elsewhere besides this faux news outlet.
Hey Robert, getta-getta-getta Garmin before you light the fuse next time.
OK JohnTaurus...you keep posting and we all know your still reading
Actually he threw it into the house he meant to, it was the home of her current boyfriend!! Early this am I read this article and Justus4 had a comment about the charges made on this man, evidently he thought it was a person of color at first, but has now removed his comment. The guy was white!! So justice works both ways, regardless of color or race!!
This is very sad oops!
