AIKEN - The Aiken Department of Public Safety has arrested a man who is accused of mail theft.

Bobby James Turner, 19, of Beaver Dam Road, Aiken, is charged with simple larceny, according to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy. On Thursday, Sgt. Dowdy said, a homeowner saw Mr. Turner get mail from a mailbox on Dogwood Road and place it in his jacket.

Other thefts occurred on Dunbarton Circle, Boardman Road and Grace Avenue, Sgt. Dowdy said.

Investigators determined that Mr. Turner was looking for cash in Christmas cards, Sgt. Dowdy said.
