Yes. come get your handouts.

Yes. come get your handouts. Turkey in November and toys in December. No need to invest in your own kids when someone else will do it for you.

I'm just wondering if the homeless bums will be getting toys and trading them on the corner for few bucks or a cuple of 40's like they did with the turkeys. Do you have to bring a child with you to get a toy?

Why do people insist on being

Why do people insist on being negative? Anyone? Anyone? I think this is a great event, and it's great that it has continued.

In the spirit of the holiday

In the spirit of the holiday season, and in memory of James Brown, I wish the children, their parents AND the donors a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

You can thank the Marines,

You can thank the Marines, Toys for Tots and thousands of "evil flesh colored people" who gave generously so that James Brown can be remembered as a benevolent father. Unfortunately, the kids will enjoy the toys without knowing from whence they came. And the beat goes on...........

How about you people do

How about you people do something more constructive with your time. If you don't like it, then stay away and SHUT UP! Show your disdain and contempt by simply not supporting the event. Just because it's not part of the Empty Stocking Fund doesn't mean it's not meeting a need. Besides, you don't know for sure if every parent is out of work, or just under-worked. A recession changes people's standards of living drastically, but it obviously hasn't changed the "holier-than-thou" attitudes of many. If you don't think the needy benefit, then don't be part of the giving, but please SHUT YOUR PIE HOLES UP ABOUT THIS EVENT. If you didn't give, then you have nothing to say at all. If you did give and you don't like who's getting a toy, then don't give anymore.

Does anybody have the answer

Does anybody have the answer to my question? Do you need a child to accompany you to get free toy(s)? I'd like to get some for the minority children that rent across the street from me.

UncleStrom, why don't you

UncleStrom, why don't you offer to take the minority children and their parents who live across the street from you to the giveaway? That might solve your problem. The answwer to your question might be no because some people may get more than they need if they don't have children with them.

I don't have a problem giving

I don't have a problem giving to needy people, it's the folks that get out of their new Ford Expedition with the expensive rims on it and the kids pop out of there wearing more expensive clothes than I can afford to buy for mine and go get their free toys that I have a problem giving to!! Sorry just had to get that off my chest!!

KJ, thanks. I know I was making a bad joke about the bums selling toys like they did with the turkeys, but the question was serious.

What happens to the truly

What happens to the truly needy moms that want to surprise their kids with a toy they didn't expect on Christmas morning? It would kind of ruin things to have to tote them along to get their gift(s).

If the toys aren't video

If the toys aren't video gaming systems or big screen tvs, the kids won't like them. That's all they want.

Sueboo418 and Asitis, then

Sueboo418 and Asitis, then just don't support this charity, and pray for those who abuse the kindness of others by receiving when they are well off enough to give.

KingJames I don't support

KingJames I don't support that charity, never have and never will. I will give the shirt off my back to someone in need but when people that DON'T need it but, take advantage it just upsets me and I had to get it off my chest. They will meeet their maker one day and have to answer for it. :) The bad thing is it's teaching your children the wrong values.
