9-month-old left alone in car

An Augusta woman was arrested and charged with deprivation of a minor after police said she left her 9-month-old son unattended in a car while shopping.

A Richmond County sheriff’s report says that about 10 p.m. Saturday someone in the parking lot of Michael’s on Robert C. Daniel Jr. Parkway noticed the child strapped in a car seat with all the doors of the vehicle locked. An officer found the child’s mother, Wilva Katherine Baldwin, 28, of the 1500 block of Myrtle Lane, inside the store.

Richmond County Investigator William Leisey said the child had been left alone for about 30 minutes. The boy was returned to his father uninjured.

I wonder how many other times she may have done this to him? I'm so glad that the day's temperature wasn't one of the extremes or this story might have had a much worse outcome.

wow what an awesome mother..i hope they take this child from this worthless piece of garbage..as many times as you have seen this on tv and you still do this to your child then you don't deserve to have your child. are you just stupid or what? yes thank goodness it was not 100 degrees or even 20 degrees outside today. do you understand you stupid moroon about child molesters that prey on kids?well if you don't then i suggest you watch the news. if you do not have a baby sitter then i suggest you put your shopping off until you have one. its obvious you have money to shop so why not have money to pay for a sitter instead of leaving them in a locked car for god knows how long.

Another example of someone

Another example of someone who shouldn't be allowed to breed. If you aren't intelligent enough to realize the danger of leaving an infant unattended like that, you have no business being a parent.

If it is too much trouble to

If it is too much trouble to take your child with you shopping then don't GO! I have an 11 month old and no matter how heavy he is lifting him in and out of the car seat into a shopping cart I do it. Even when I have to make a quick run just to get one item and out again. It is called being a mother. If you choose to have them take care of them. I am so glad someone reported this worthless excuse for a mother.
