Jerry L. Harden, 39, of the 4300 block of Roswell Drive, Martinez, was arrested in Augusta and was being held in the Richmond County Detention Center pending his transfer to Burke County, said Glenn Allen, a spokesman for Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John Oxendine.

Three fires occurred between 6 p.m. Nov. 25, 2008, and 6 a.m. Nov. 26, 2008, at separate sites on Millhaven Plantation in Screven County and Wade Plantation in Burke County. Mr. Allen said the suspect was charged with one count of second-degree arson involving one of the cabins in Burke County, but added that other charges are pending.

The arrest was made by officers from Mr. Oxendine’s office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Just Nuts says="This is a joke because nothing will happen to this man because he is you know what. The AWM prints a few articles like this once in a blue moon to keep the non minority media and the San Diego Chargers happy. I will chain myself to the first burned down cabin I see to show my disdain for this article or until the Charges win the Super Bowl. Great country eh?"
