SLED officials have arrested three more suspects in the slaying of a man at an Allendale County motel earlier this month.
The agency charged brothers Russell and Steven Smart, and their cousin Eric Smart with murder and criminal conspiracy Tuesday.
According to arrest warrants, the men traveled to Fairfax motel in the 2000 block of Hampton Avenue and devised a plan to commit armed robbery, resulting in the fatal shooting of Will Solomon, 38, of Yammasee on Dec. 5, SLED spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said in a news release.
Amanda Davis was charged with murder and criminal conspiracy on Dec. 6. Tyderria Mikell was charged with criminal conspiracy in connection to the murder the same day.
Investigators believe Ms. Davis and Ms. Mikell met up with Mr. Solomon and his friends at a local gas station. The group drove to the Fairfax Motel, which authorities believe was a part of Ms. Daviss plan to have Russell Smart, Steven Smart and Eric Smart rob Mr. Solomon. When the men arrived, all three approached Mr. Solomons motel room and a fight ensued. Mr. Solomon was fatally shot several times in the parking lot, while his friends hid in his motel room. He died at the scene.
SLED is still investigating the case.
This is so sad. I pray justice will be served.
