The Georgia Department Corrections says in a statement that Gary will be served the same meal as other inmates before his execution: a grilled cheeseburger, oven-browned potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, cookies and a grape drink.
Gary has a hearing set for Monday before the state Board of Pardons and Paroles. Unless the board changes his sentence to life without parole, life with the possibility of parole or grants a stay of execution, Gary is set to be executed at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the state prison at Jackson.
Gary was convicted in three of seven "stocking strangler" slayings in Columbus in 1986. The victims were strangled with their own stockings.
