So that would make this a 'FAKE' story!
Fake money was stolen from a display at an office at The Augusta Chronicle during a burglary Wednesday night.
The thief, or thieves, used a brick to break into the Broad Street office and ripped fake $100, $50 and $20 bills from the display, according to a Richmond County Sheriff's report.
Jen Pursley, a Chronicle advertising employee, said the display was being used for an employee sales initiative. Ms. Pursley said the thief took all the fake money, except for two $1 bills taped to the wall. Several downtown businesses have been robbed in a similar manner recently, including Stillwater Tap Room, Sweet Lous Crab Shack and the Cotton Patch.
So that would make this a 'FAKE' story!
Ooooops, there goes the Chronicle's employee's Christmas bonuses!
Man, I bet they will be POed when they see the bills have Billy Morris on them.
LOL I wonder of those idiots must be eally that stupid thinking somebody would put real money on display like that. Must be justus4 kin.
I thought there was no money taken from the Cotton Patch? I'm only funnin here, but to think Morris Communications has any spare money laying around with their debts is a stretch.
Feel the love.
LOL @ Ben There!
They hate The Chroincle. They read The Chronicle. They hate the Chronicle. They read The Chronicle. Sounds like some people need to take their meds.
Fake money doesn't have to go to waste. I can be used to buy Obama promises.
That should read "...It can be used..."
still can't edit
Man, this stuff works GREAT!!! hee, heee!! Thanks Chronicle, ho, ho, ho!
Oh my god why was my comment removed because I used the word idiots. Ok c-dogg i want them to respond to this. I really want to know why my comment was removed. This is insane
Isn't it against the law to make "fake" money? did they steal counterfeit money? I guess there is no crime here other than the breaking and entering. I bet if I called the police and reported my counterfeit money missing I would have some splaining to do.
No, it's not against the law to make fake money, as long as a reasonable person could easily tell it was fake, and that it's not being used as real money.
The businesses weren't "robbed," they were burglarized...why can't the media in this town get it right? "Robbery" and "burglary" are completely different.
Put out an APB for that brick then.
You can't make this stuff up...No matter how hard you try. LOL
