Well, I suppose so. If you want to fill the seats bring the prices down. I'm sure the music is lovely, and hopefully won't be interrupted by one of the trains howling by, but I'm not paying $40 to go hear anyone in this economy. If you fill the place, consider it a miracle.
OMG.. can you just imagine how many 50 somethings divorced women will be there? Cougar alert around the Bell.
I would gladly pay to see Jim Brickman. He is one of my favorite artists. I have also heard his shows are well worth the money. Wish I could be there but I had other obligations tonight. I hope people show up. It is a nice change to have an artist who does not play such loud music, even though that can be enjoyable too. Sort of puts my in the Christmas spirit!
I would gladly pay to see Jim Brickman, too, and I'm sure his shows are well worth the money, in normal times, but this isn't a normal economy, if you haven't noticed. If people pay that much money to see him in these times, well you know what they say about a fool and his (or her) money.... I'm no cougar. Let the cougars slink down there, I'm staying home like the teddy bear I am.
Why should it matter to you how people choose to spend their money? Everyone today is having to cut back, but it certainly is no one's business to make negative comments about those who choose to pay to see a talented musician. I doubt anyone who went to the show did without food or clothing because they spent $40 to see it. If so, then that is their choice and all choices have consequences....positive and negative.
Why should my opinion matter to you then, workingmom, I'm just expressing mine, just like you are.
